Weston is Third Colby College Alum in the MATA Hall of Fame

Tim Weston, the head athletic trainer at Colby College, was inducted into the Maine Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) Hall of Fame on March 4.

Weston has worked for Colby since 1992 and is the third athletic trainer from the College to be inducted into the MATA Hall of Fame. Carl Nelson (1959-1993 at Colby) was honored in 2007 and Tim Adams (1980-2008) was inducted in 2009.
Weston was honored with MATA’s Bill Cox Service Award in 2010. He took over as Colby’s head athletic trainer when Adams left in 2008. Weston is currently the District One Director for the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Before coming to Colby, he worked in the New York Yankees’ minor league system. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from University of Maine.
The MATA Hall of Fame honors individuals who have worked or are working in the State of Maine and have made significant contributions to the profession of athletic training, particularly at the state level.
