Major League Football, Inc. (OTCQB: MLFB) (“MLFB”, the “League” or the “Company”), a new, professional spring-football league scheduled to kick off in 2016, today announced the appointment of Mr. Mayfield Armstrong, ATC CPed, as MLFB’s Sports Medical Consultant. Mr. Armstrong’s appointment coincides with the League’s plan to kick off the MLFB Training Camp the last week of March.
Mr. Armstrong is a Certified Member of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics and licensed as a Pedothist in Alabama. He also holds Hall of Fame Honors at Nicholls State University and the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Association. Mr. Armstrong’s professional football training and medical consulting includes the NFL Europe and the NFL in which we was head trainer, and consultant, respectively. Mr. Armstrong will begin his consulting duties with MLFB ahead of the League’s training camp scheduled later this month. Further he will consult with MLFB’s league-wide physicians and doctors to promote the health of MLFB players and advise the league on medical insurance related issues.

Mayfield Armstrong holds the unique credentials of an accomplished Certified Pedorthist as well as a Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer. Currently he is employed as an Athletic Trainer by Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, where he works side by side with famed surgeon, Dr. James Andrews. The Florida State graduate has worked with a variety of sports leagues both in the United States and overseas. Through 2007, he held the position of Head Trainer for NFL Europe and continues to work as a consultant for the NFL. In addition to working at CSM, Dr. Mayfield is the CEO of First & Ten Health & Fitness, an independent consulting service that previously performed the Health & Fitness evaluations for the NFL Game Officials.
Mayfield is currently a Certified Member of the Alabama Athletic Trainers Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association. He is a Certified Member of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics and licensed as a Pedothist in Alabama.
