Rob Tagle Named New Tips Athletic Trainer

The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) and general manager Garry Davidson, in conjunction with Integrated Rehabilitation Group, announced today the appointment of Rob Tagle as the club’s new Athletic Trainer. Tagle succeeds Wayne Duncan, who worked with the Silvertips the last two seasons, and assumes supervision of medical and health needs, and pursuing the objective of injury prevention and minimal recovery time for Silvertips players.
Tagle, 25, makes the Silvertips his second stop in hockey after previously serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, coordinating day-to-day medical and administrative activities and responsibilities with the club’s staff and players, including head coach Mike Sullivan and several players who developed into key contributors for the Pittsburgh Penguins fourth Stanley Cup title in 2016.

The native of West Freehold, N.J. previously served in stops with the Philadelphia Soul (AFL), Saint Joseph’s University, and Cabrini College as an athletic training intern and TopSpeed Performance School as a strength coach.

Prior to receiving his Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training at East Stroudsburg University, Tagle originally attended school at UMass-Boston and graduated from Neumann University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training/Strength and Conditioning in 2015, where he was also a three-year defenseman with Knights lacrosse and a three-time honoree on the Colonial States Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

Seating designation for all preseason games at XFINITY Arena is offered on a general admission basis. The Silvertips open their preseason schedule Friday, Sept. 2 vs the Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. at XFINITY Arena.

Silvertips training camp opens Aug. 25 at XFINITY Arena and all practices will be open to the public.

2016-17 SCHEDULE, TICKET INFORMATION

The Silvertips will open the 2016-17 schedule with a “home-and-home” series against the Vancouver Giants, launching Friday, Sept. 23 in Langley, B.C. at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Silvertips home opener against the Giants, Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at XFINITY Arena. Priority seating and guaranteed home opener tickets in downtown Everett are now available by placing a $50 deposit for Silvertips season ticket or mini-plan packages (available in full season, 22-game or 14-game plans) at www.everettsilvertips.com/season or by calling (425) 252-5100.
