The Bellarmine University Sports Medicine department has added Cloe Klaus to its roster of certified athletic trainers.

Klaus, who came to Louisville three years ago and has worked at Norton Orthopedic Specialists assisting a sports medicine physician, said that she had heard of Bellarmine’s athletic successes and ongoing improvements of athletic facilities, including a new athletic training room with expanded space and updated amenities in Knights Hall.

“I knew that I wanted to be a part of this department that met student-athletes’ health needs while also building successful and championship athletic programs,” Klaus said.

The London, Ontario, Canada native has experience working with volleyball, softball, baseball, cross country and track and field, but will primarily work with the Knights lacrosse team.

Prior to moving to Louisville, Klaus served as an athletic trainer for California State University of Fresno, Virginia Commonwealth and North Carolina A & T State. She holds multiple memberships including a Board of Certification and a Kentucky Athletic Training License.
