ATHLETIC TRAINING STUDENT AIDES SIGN LETTERS OF INTENT

Four Permian High School athletic trainers signed scholarships Tuesday to become trainers at Odessa and Midland colleges.

Destini Cook, Brianna Anderson and Abigail Tilghman signed scholarships at Odessa College while Rachel Riser signed a scholarship at Midland College.

“These community colleges have some of the top athletic programs in the country and can have anywhere from 10-15 student trainers, depending on the year,” a news release reported. “Often these scholarships cover all tuition and fees.”

Permian Head Trainer Randel Vaughn spoke during the signing and said he also went to Odessa College on a similar scholarship offer.
