Andre Venner Joins Kean University Athletic Training Staff

The Kean University athletic department welcomes Andre Venner who joins the Cougar athletic training support staff.

Venner will serve as a full-time assistant athletic trainer. The department currently has five full-time certified athletic trainers along with two certified graduate assistants, bringing the total number to seven ATCs.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training cum laude from SUNY Cortland in 2014 and completed his Master of Science degree in exercise and sport sciences, cum laude, from Ithaca College in 2016.

Most recently he served as an athletic training resident at the University of Connecticut working primarily with the football and track programs.  Prior to his work at UConn, Venner was a graduate assistant at Cornell University working primarily with the football team.  He was also an intern with the New York Jets during training camp in 2013.

Venner is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and Eastern Athletic Trainers Association (EATA).
