ProEx, a physical therapist-owned private practice specializing in orthopedics, spine and sports medicine announces that Jacob Loughman, of Beverly, has joined the firm as a full-time athletic trainer, working at Wilmington High School.

As an athletic trainer, Loughman is a “first responder” when sports-related injuries occur. As such, he recognizes, evaluates and assesses injuries, providing immediate care when necessary. Loughman also performs exercise technician duties in ProEx’s Woburn location; in this role, under the supervision of staff members, he motivates, safeguards and assists patients with their therapeutic exercise programs.

Loughman is a certified athletic trainer and received his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Salem State University. He is an active volunteer with Help Give Life to Deb in Beverly, assisting with the coordination of fundraising events.
Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Loughman lives in Beverly and enjoys participating in triathlons and a variety of recreational sports.
“Jacob is a great addition to the ProEx team,” said Allison Stringer, regional clinical director at ProEx. “His dedication to clients and the industry exemplifies our people focused organization.”
