Utah State Associate AD for Sports Medicine Mike Williamsannounced the addition of Laura Parry to the athletic training staff on Thursday.

Parry is returning to Logan, having earned a master’s degree in exercise science from Utah State while serving as a graduate assistant with football and women’s soccer during the 2011-13 seasons. During her time with the Aggies, football made a trip to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and women’s soccer captured a WAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

After graduating from Utah State, Parry worked just over three years at Virginia Commonwealth (VCU), where she was the athletic trainer for the women’s soccer team.

“As an alumni of the Utah State HPER department (now Department of Kinesiology and Health Science) and a former USU athletic training graduate assistant, I am excited to return to the Aggie family,” Parry said. “I am looking forward to enhancing the level of care for our student-athletes and continuing to improve their overall wellness. I’d like to thank Mike Williams for this amazing opportunity to return to Utah State and Cache Valley. Go Aggies!”

Parry earned an undergraduate degree in athletic training from Washington State. Her primary responsibility will be with the women’s soccer team, while overseeing the athletic training needs for women’s basketball and tennis.
