Matt Guinane, a 2015 Central College graduate, has returned to campus to serve as an assistant athletic trainer.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Central, Guinane spent time working as a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness in Pella. He interned with Iowa State University’s football program during their spring practice in 2014 and the Iowa Barnstormers during their pre-season camp in 2014. He also covered high school football games in the Pella-area with Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy in the fall of 2015.

“He’s someone who’s been through the program as a student and we’re thrilled to have back here to help us,” head athletic trainer Frank Neu said. “He’s very excited to be coming back, especially to be working with the football team.”

Guinane has started on the job already and will begin working with the football team when they report for camp on August 11.
