Taylor “TJ” Hall recently assumed the position of Athletic Trainer in Therapy Services at Methodist Hospital’s Henderson County Campus. He will be working with student athletes from Henderson County High School, focusing on the safety of all athletes, providing prevention, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

Hall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of Southern Indiana in 2015 and went on to complete a master of dcience degree in athletic training from the University of Evansville in June 2017. He is licensed as an athletic trainer by the state of Kentucky and board-certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Methodist Hospital has contracted with Henderson County High School to provide athletic trainer services since 1986, when Tim Barron, PTA, assumed the position. Several years ago, Barron retired from athletic training but he is still employed by Methodist Hospital as a Physical Therapy Assistant and Sports Medicine Coordinator, working in the Physical Therapy Clinic at Methodist Hospital Orthopaedics, located at 471 Klutey Park Plaza Drive in Henderson. Kaela McDaniel, ATC/PTA, assumed the athletic trainer role until Hall was hired.

Hall said of his new position, “I’ve played sports my whole life and have had my share of injuries. I look forward to being able to help our high school athletes stay healthy and minimize injuries. While football, in the hierarchy of sports, is the most injury prone, I will also be working with students participating in spring and summer sports. When I am not helping the athletes, I will be working at the Orthopaedics Physical Therapy Clinic at Methodist Hospital.”
