Mueller #NEEDAHERO contest winner announced

So, without further adieu, the winner of our #NeedAHero contest is…

The University of Montana Western’s athletic trainer – KALEB BIRNEY!

All of us here at Mueller Sports Medicine couldn’t be happier to play a part in supporting the recovery, and excellence of all the Bulldog athletes.

Congratulations Kaleb Birney, and the entire athletic department at the University of Montana Western.

“The Mueller Hero kits and equipment that were donated to our program will help Montana Western’s athletic training program be more efficient when supporting our athletes through recovery and promoting excellence,” said Birney.

Kaleb, a 2012 graduate Wichita State University (WSU) pursued his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. Birney completed an internship with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs in 2010 and 2011 during one of his clinical education rotations.

Upon graduation from WSU, Birney worked as an intern in the Georgia State University Sports Medicine Department for two years. During his time there, he provided patient care to both the men’s baseball, and soccer teams.

Kaleb then went on to earn his master’s degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania in December of 2014.

“As the result of Kaleb’s efforts in applying for this recognition, the resources provided by Mueller Sports Medicine will allow our staff to provide high quality care to the nearly 325 Bulldog student-athletes,” Head athletic trainer, Dr. Russ Richardson stated, “we are very appreciative of both Kaleb and the generosity of Mueller Sports Medicine.”

Mueller Sports Medicine would like to thank everyone who entered the #NeedAHero contest.
