Wes Stephens has been promoted to the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Training and Sport Performance.

Stephens, who has been the head athletic trainer since 2014, oversees the care of the student-athletes for the 16 Yellow Jacket sports and cheerleading.

“I appreciate all that Wes has done as our Head Athletic Trainer,” remarked Athletic Director Dr. Alan Geist.

“His new title better reflects his responsibilities moving forward because of all he has assumed in strength and conditioning as well as other areas.”

Stephens, who is a 2003 graduate of Cedarville University, is certified by the BOC. He earned a master’s degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Dayton in 2006.

Wes and his wife, Michelle, reside in Springfield with their three children.
