Cincinnati’s Bill Walker to be inducted

Oversaw the health care of UC student-athletes for almost 32 years, as head athletic trainer from Dec. 1975 until July 2007. Promoted to Assistant AD in 1998.  Directly responsible for the growth and expansion of UC’s athletic training department. Saw the transition of the Bearcats through six different training rooms, including the current one inside Varsity Village.

Past President of Greater Cincinnati Athletic Trainers’ Association. Athletic trainer, Pan American Games 1987. Founding member of the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association. Earned OATA’s Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award in 2011. Elected to OATA Hall of Fame in 1998.
