A Weslaco High School employee turned himself into police for an outstanding warrant regarding an improper relationship with a student Friday morning.
Federico Balli Jr., 38, was arrested and charged with improper relationship between an educator and student, a second degree felony. The alleged incident occurred in December 2015 at the high school where he was an athletic trainer, according to Sergeant Bernie Garza.
Balli was given a $50,000 bond.
It is not clear if Balli is still employed with the school or not.
The case is still under investigation.
