Jayme Galdieri Named Athletic Trainer of the Year

Jayme Galdieri, MS, LAT, ATC, has been named the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine 2015-2016 Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Presented by his Geisinger colleagues, Galdieri also received the award in 2010-2011.

Galdieri joined the Geisinger team in 2006 and has served on the Misericordia University’s athletic training staff ever since.

Since 2012, he has been the Head Athletic Trainer for Misericordia football team.

At Geisinger, Galdieri is in charge of coordinating all of the department’s community service events, such as various health fairs, benefit races, and the UNICO All – Star Football game held every November.

In addition, he serves as Volunteer Medical Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Special Olympics Summer Games held annually at Penn State University.

Galdieri earned both his bachelor’s degree in athletic training ’05 and master’s degree in health care administration ’09 from King’s College.  He resides in West Pittston with his wife Desiree and daughter Gianna.
