Lindl added to Fort lewis College Staff

Fort Lewis College Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Sports Medicine Wayne Barger announced Bryan Lindl as the Skyhawks assistant athletic trainer.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Bryan Lindl to the Fort Lewis College Athletic Training Staff,” said Barger. “His educational background, enthusiasm, and professionalism fit in nicely with the Fort Lewis College family. I am excited to watch young professionals grow and develop at Fort Lewis College.”

A native of Madison, Wis., Lindl graduated from the University of Utah in 2015 with a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science, where he completed his research on the effectiveness of computerized neurocognitive testing in the return to play on high school athletes following a concussion.

“I’m thrilled to join the hard working team of athletic trainers at Fort Lewis College,” said Lindl. “I am excited to work with the Skyhawk student-athletes and to become part of the Durango community.”

As a graduate student at Utah, Lindl served as the certified athletic trainer for Judge Memorial Catholic High school for two years.  He also acted as a clinical preceptor for students in the University of Utah athletic training program.  Lindl assisted athletic training coverage for the women’s professional football team – the Utah Blitz – in 2014-15, as well as covering the University of Utah summer camps.

Lindl graduated from the University Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.  He served as an intern at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, providing health care to the track and field, basketball and soccer teams. From 2010-12, he served as a student athletic trainer for the Badgers football, basketball, track and field, and rowing programs.

A certified athletic trainer, Lindl is certified in the Graston Technique and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).  He is also Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer certified.

Lindl will be the primary athletic trainer for men’s soccer and men’s basketball.
